I never use to get pimples but now im getting them everywhere. I cant use scrubs or anything because my face is really sensitive so i use face wash for sensitive skin.. but after i am done washing my face my face gets really dry if i dont apply lotion. But when i do put lotion on i wake up in the morning and my face is soooo oily! I swear iv tryed every lotion.

Any ideas??

Skin problems! Help plz!!?
This is a problem for me. I found that, by NOT applying moisturiser, my skin dried out and then produced even more oil to combat the dryness, this is why you are probably waking up with loads of oil.

Please keep using moisturiser (an oil free one) because otherwise your skin will attempt to compensate and produce more and more oil! Using a sensitive skin cleanser is also the best thing to do because it shouldn't strip your skin too much.

If you are worried about the appearance of oil then there are some products you can get to 'matify' oily areas. I don't know what is available in the US for this though.
Reply:I have fairly good skin but when i was in sports in high school i broke out soo bad... i used proactiv and it helped me alot.. and they give u a lotion too... with ne lotion ur face will feel oily... to be honest now tho.. i do not wash my face often because i find that when i do i break out more... and i do not use face make up.. if u do, stop using ne thing with oil in it.. like liquid cover up.. even if u r trying to cover up blemishes, just dont wear that stuff and ur face will clear up... and maybe try washing ur face more in the morning in the shower than at night and at night use like ponds make up removers to take off ne make up u may have on ur face... i find that if i rinse my face in the morning and then get out of the shower and feel dry i put some jergens lotion (very small amount) and then i just put my eye make up and my bronzer... my face doens't look oily.. bronzer kind of helps to absorb the lotion off my face and does not make me break up because it doens't have oils in it... hope this helps
Reply:talk to your doctor, id suggest oral med. if nothing else works...thats what im on, and so far, its working...but it also depends on how serious your pimples are....just go see a dermatologist or your regular doctor.
Reply:Try a light acne care moisturizer. I love this one:

Reply:On acne you don't want to use a scrub your will spread the bacteria that way and get even more pimples if your skin is sensitive and you want some thing cheaper the best would be to use dove soap and you should put on SPF and not lotion and make sure you cleanse your skin good but make sure not to rub to hard you don't want to rub the dirt into your pores .. and it could also be the make-up you are wearing you should try some minerals make-up and if you are great! and make sure every time you touch your skin that your hands are clean..:)
Reply:Go to a dermatologist. Sometimes it takes your skin awhile to get use to acne medications, but the derm can prescribe low % benzyl peroxide and beta salycilic product that are less harsh. I prefer beta peel done by my derm, but they are very agressive and may really irritate skin, but keep my acne at bay for several months. Oral contraceptives help quite a bit if you are a women, but can cause melasma (skin darkening). Cetaphil makes a nice light non-comodogenic lotion and there wash is even better as it does not contain soap-great for sensetive skin and remember a little goes along way.
Reply:I use to have a whole mess of huge pimples and now their gone. Get soap with sulfur and a tinted cream with sulfur. do that and your acne will start fading in a week.
Reply:get an oil free moisturizer. also exercise will clear up your skin.
Reply:If you never get pimples and you all of a sudden are, the first thing should be to try and find out whats the cause. There's many different causes of breakouts, which all could have different treatment steps.

You're doing good so far avoiding the scrubs. Any exfoliants or anything grainy is going to worsen your skin, especially since you are sensitive.

You should be using an OIL-FREE moisturizer combined with SPF.

Depending on the type of blemishes, they may heal on their own and go away or they may need to be extracted. The best thing to do would be to go to a dermatologist (Estheticians in Salons tend to cost a lot more because of the relaxing environment) and have some extractions done and a deep cleansing. Right after that you will feel a MAJOR difference in your skin and within a few days, vula no more pimples. And it only cost you maybe $50.00 tops. It's important to get into the habit of going and getting these deep cleansings/extractions done at least once, if not twice a month, to maintain total skin clarity.

Good luck...youll have beautiful skin in no time!
Reply:I dont have the best complexion in the world either. I found that the best thing for sensitive skin is to apply an astringent after washing your face I love Biore Pore Perfect its a triple action astringent that cleanses, tightens %26amp; clears, it reduces shine and prevents black heads and blimishes. Then I use Olay total effects with anti-aging vitamin complex. Its a great lotion! My face was always flaky because it was so dry. In the morning use your face wash and the Biore Pore Perfect astringent and Clean%26amp;Clear oil free morning glow moisturizer. That way you have moisterized skin and it instantly brightens too! It wont clog your pores so your chances of breakouts are less.
Reply:try eatin different food or a different face wash or lotion
