Burned skin from acne cream. Fastest way to heal skin?

I used an acne cream prescribed by my dermatologist. I have really sensitive skin and should have known better. It left my skin almost "burned." It is very red, dry, irritated and sore. I have been using Aveeno Daily Calming (with chamomile and feverfew) but it has not helped. I am allergic to neosporin. I can't call my doctor because it is Sunday.

Any advice? What is the fastest way to heal the irritated skin? Thanks!

0_o that happened to me when I used soething called Panoxyl. If it's really sensitive, you might not be able to use it but I've found Hemp moisturizer (Body Shop, I think) to be amazing.

If you can't use/find it then any sensitive skin moisturizer will be good. Don't use the cream again obviously...your dermatologist shuold have known better if you have sensitive skin.

Also this sounds silly but drink a lot of water to stop your skin drying out and keep it out the cold:)
Reply:Let it be and put on some clean cold compresses - on/ off

Take motrin if you can handle it and Call the MD tomorrow.
Reply:Many of the creams prescribed by dermatologist are very strong and do literally burn your skin. but, the acne will be gone without any scarring. I would first ask my pharmacist about this. He may know of an OTC to use. If you are not satisfied with your current doctor, you may want to consult your family doctor about the redness and he could probably or if not, refer you to someone else who can.

I know that must be painful. I hope you get some relief soon, but it may be slow to heal.
