Coconut oil and skin?

I have slight rosacea and very sensitive skin that is dry. I purchased extra virgin coconut oil and was wondering if it will naturally darken my skin. I did research on the internet and some sites said it will and others say it wont..anyone have used this as a moisturizer before..did you notice skin discolorations..and if you did what was the result...thank you in advance

Coconut oil and skin?
I love coconut oil and its done nothing but good things for my skin i notice that my skin looks brighter and more radiant its great for wrinkle prevention/exzema/stretchmarks/age spots and overall great looking skin
Reply:I have used coconut oil on my face and body and never noticed discoluration. With your sensitive skin you need to use skin care products that don't have chemicals etc, because they will make you skin worse. Kosema with rose hip oil is good, but mostly everything you use has to be done on a trail and error basis until you find a product that suits.

Spicy foods, stress, hot drinks , hot showers and alcohol are probably not good for rosacea. View is that these aggravate the condition.

Its all trial and error good luck and if you find miracle product let me know. I am from sydney Australia
Reply:No, coconut oil will not discolor your skin. It's actually a perfect oil for anyone with sensitive skin or other skin conditions.

As mentioned above, the best products you can use are all natural, without all the chemicals and petroleum derivatives.

Sunflower Naturals has a complete line of skin care products, you ought to check them out and check out the ingredients, no chemicals, petroleum or alcohol.

Reply:the notion for oil on skin will cause skin darkening may be attributed to the fact that heated oil causes skin to burn (like you use oil for frying and browning meat?).. well, any hot surface can burn or cause skin pigmentation, and so does the sun, whether there's oil or not..

what you can do is to use the ev coco oil at bedtime as a night moisturizer, then sunscreen at daytime to protect skin from sun damage...

i use ev coco oil as my night moisturizer 2x a week too :-)
Reply:coconut oil is the best oil to use for your skin it is best to apply it at night and rub the oil in the areas of your face that need work or protection i heard your supposed to wipe the oil after you finish mositurising cuz its bad if it stays on your skin i am not sure about this i even reasearched it on the web and didn't find any thing about it, so many people say they use it but don't say how they apply it. hope this helped.
