Better skin?

What products and what kind of nutrition would you recommend for a rather sensitive skin? At the moment, my skin seems slightly 'unstable' even though there are no major problems with it. However, it is not as smooth as I would like it to be (i.e., I cannot imagine it without make up creams, it does not look pretty enough without 'cosmetic aid') My diet is mainly based on carbohydrates... Thanks in advance!

Better skin?
theres a really good face mask i learned to make at aesthetics school. its 1 mango and half a papaya blended. then just rub it on already clean skin. if u have sensitive skin dont leave it on to long. it will burn. just rinse off with water. your face may be red for like 30min but when your done your skin feels so nice. i love this stuff
Reply:Go to healthquest.peoplesway.com. Oil of Mink is amazing for skin, hair, reduces sensitivity in teeth. Works on cuts, burns, scars, warts, moles. Natural sun blocker. Protec and Protrim are dietary suppliments, help remove toxins from your body too. If toxins are slowly coming out of the skin it could be your problem. There are also some videos you can watch at youtube if you search for peoplesway.
Reply:You say that your diet is mainly based on carbohydrates?? Do you mean pasta, rice, bread and wheat based products?? If so, then you really do need to try eating some more plant based foods. This really does have an impact on the total health of our bodies, the true health of our bodies is reflected in the condition and health of our skin. This is the first place inconsistencies in our system will show up. If you are consuming too many acid foods such as I mentioned above your diet would be too acidic and will eventually cause you illness. You need to aim for 60% of your diet consisting of alkaline foods - fresh fruits such as apples, bananas, cantalope, grapes, watermelon, green leafy vegies, protein such as almonds, chestnuts, millet, tempeh, tofu, all herbs, sea salt, fresh fruit juices, green juices, mineral water, probiotic cultures, soured dairy products and veggie juices.

The other 40% of your diet should consist of acid forming foods ie::- animal proteins such as bacon, beef, fish, lamb, lobster, mussels, salmon, sardines, scallops, shellfish butter, cheese, milk, rice milk, soy milk, legumes, peanuts, tahini, walnuts, wheat flour, macaroni, kamut, noodles, oatmeal, all rice, spaghetti, wheat germ, green peas, chick peas, lentils, corn, olives, blueberries, plums, cranberries, barley, oat bran and corn.

This list is by no means exhaustive but at least gives you an indication of the balance your diet should be following for optimal health.

To improve the health of your skin you need to increase your intake of Vitamin A rich foods. ie.:Fish liver oil, liver, carrots, dark green and yellow vegies, eggs, milk and dairy products, margarine and yellow fruits. The color intensity of a fruit or vegetable is not necessarily a reliable indicator of its Vitamin A content.

If you're deficient in vitamin A, no skin treatment will work properly.

Recommended daily intake for adults is 4,000 International Units. (IU). It's time to top up on vitamin A if your skin is dry or rough, or it breaks out in spots. Other deficiency signs include dry, fragile skin prone to wrinkles, blackheads, white heads, splitting nails, bumpy and pimply skin.

Vitamin A helps ensure that skin is taut, silky soft and youthful looking by nutruting the fat lying beneath the skin. Vitamin A also makes sure that the skin cells rising to the surface remain supple, so yskin feels soft and smooth. Vitamin A may help prevent sun damage.

As well as increasing your food intake of Vitamin A rich foods, go to the chemist and ask the pharmacist to recommend a good brand of a hair skin and nails tablet for you to buy. Avoid synthetic vitamins as they are too hard to digest.

The only other thing that I can think of is to drink plenty of pure filtered daily and protect your skin from the sun. Also get plenty of rest and don't forget to have some fun, everybody needs to play !!!
