Blochy skin?

i get these red patches on my skin, i have very sensitive skin so have to use the right stuff. how can i get rid of these red patches??

Blochy skin?
"Red patches" could be a number of skin conditions from eczema to an allergic reaction to something you're using. It's always best to see a dermatologist so that you get an expert's opinion. I have very sensitive skin as well and I make sure that all the soaps I use are hypo-allergenic and without fragrances as well as my lotions. Cetaphyl has a really great cleanser for your face. It's hypo-allergenic and comes in a liquid form as well as a bar. They also carry moisturizers. Oil of Olay also has a great line of products for sensitive skin. I personally use their body wash for sensitive, dry skin as well as some of their facial products.

But definitely see your dermatologist so that you know for sure what's going on with your skin.
Reply:use protection
Reply:go to an dermatologist, anything in your skin is serious, not joke
Reply:vitamin K is a wonder worker.
Reply:Oh poor you i had the same thing take Vitamin A or C+E together and your skin will soon clear up. It takes continuse use for over a month of use

For a top up it you can afford this get a face resurfacing treatment to clear away debrie on your first layer of skin.

Good Luck Well i know it will work so good on you.
Reply:I would get to a dermatologist and possibly an allergist. My skin get blotchy around this year when my allergies pop up. You may need to be prescribed a topical and oral medication. I have super sensitive skin too, so I did that and also use only dye and color free skin products.
Reply:Do not use any lotion or cream made to "even the skin tone" or for acne. These would make you even redder. Red, sensitive skin is most often the first sign of... drum roll, please..... rosacea. When you are older, those capillaries which are dilated enough now to make your skin go red, will break, and you will develop fine red spidery-veins around your nose, cheeks, etc.

Prevention is the best medicine. You need a cream to soothe that skin, but may mistakenly be given something with Paraffin (or paraffinium) which hydrates, yes, but irritates the rosacean's skin. You need scent free, paraben and paraffin free lotion. You MUST use a sunblock if you wish to keep this under control, too. Clinique make a sunblock that doesn't show, and is a block, rather than a chemical screen (irritating, those screens!) Use face wipes , trial and error, sometimes those labelled for sensitive skin is worse.

NO EXFOLIATING. EVER.

IPL treatments (intense pulsed light, NOT ablative laser) is extremely useful and helpful, and CAN reduce the redness to almost none. It is also rather expensive.

And finally, Dr Nase, a man who suffers with rosacea, started a huge website in which people contribute, ask, compare, all sorts of information. Everything you ever wanted to know about that red blotchy skin of yours. A VERY good site!
