Skin conditon?

I've been having this since I was about 10 or 11. If i scratch my skin a lot or really hard I get these welps on my skin. Everyone told me i just had sensitive skin.. Would that be right? The welps look sick and im really embrarrassed when I get them so I NEVER scratch my skin..

Skin conditon?
its allergies. my cousin has the same thing
Reply:Well you should never be scratching your skin that hard anyway. Even if you don't know what the problem is listen to your friends because what they said does make sense. Just don't scratch.
Reply:It could be dermatographism. See the source for more info.

Skin discoloration....?

I have this skin discoloration, only on certain areas of my body. It appears more noticeably when it gets warmer and more humid outside. It is on my arms, right where the skin meets when you bend your elbows, at my bra line in the front (under and between my breasts), areas on my back where a bra or cami would be, and in the crease of my leg/thigh in front where the panty line is. I went to the dermatologist the first 3 summers this happened, they gave me a 5-day pill and/or cream and it went away very quickly, but never really told me what it was. I believe they said since I have such sensitive skin, fugus in the air gets on my skin and causes this, which makes sense for where this discoloration all is. It's not as disgusting as it sounds, mainly embarassing. I have tried make up and it doesn't work, and it's hard to find clothes to cover it all since it's so hot outside. I have an appt. next month, the soonest they could get me in, but any tips on how to "cover" it up until then?

Skin discoloration....?
see a dermatologist.. that's a skin doctor
Reply:Try getting some loreal mineral makeup or Physicians formula sells a product just for covering imperfections such as this. Good luck and God bless.
Reply:I would avoid covering the areas with anything. It does sound like a fungus type thing caused by moisture and covering it will only prevent the area from "breathing". You might try a bit of rubbing alcohol followed by a light dusting of cornstarch to keep the areas as dry as possible. Try to find lingerie that has a cotton lining rather than any elastic areas that the skin will be exposed to as the rubber in elastic will also cause moisture to be held in. Tea tree oil is a good antifungal and might work by adding just a drop to the rubbing alcohol before applying. Do NOT apply the tea tree oil undiluted as that may irritate your skin.

Oily Skin, HELP!?!?!?

I am a redhead and have very fair, moderately sensitive skin that is SO oily!! I currently use St.Yves Oil-Free Blackhead Removing Facial Scrub, every morning (or every second morning). I use Neutrogena Healthy Skin Moisturizer w/ spf15 every day.

When I do wear makeup all I use is foundation, shadow, eyeliner, blush and mascara. I wear my makeup very lightly and do not cake it on. At night I just wash any makeup off with soap.

I can't use a toner as it really bothers my skin. I need something that works for blackheads too because I feel like mine are SO noticeable!! I dont get pimples/zits very often, but if I do I tend to get like 2 or 3 at a time.

Since the birth of my 3rd child my skin is really really oily and I don't want to spend alot of money on a bunch of diff products. I just want something for oily skin and blackheads that WORKS!!

Any suggestions?

Oily Skin, HELP!?!?!?
I have worked in the skincare area for 10 years or so, in various stores, spas etc. The best product for sensitive skin that is oily is a toss up between La Roche Posey or Avene - both sold at Shoppers or better Drug stores. I personally really like the Avene products as they are not chemical laden and are made from spring water. Ask a senior cosmetics manager at a Shoppers about it - works really well for unbalanced skin. It is not great to constantly be exfoliliating your skin as it needs time to regenerate itself. ( St.Ives is not great stuff for your face - my opinion only...) Best bet is to always ask for sample sizes or keep reciepts for things so you don't end up with a "cosmetic graveyard" I like to say.

Check out the website below! Good Luck...
Reply:Iseree cleanser for sensitive skin and if you like it natural just rub some cucumber slices on your face
Reply:i had the same problem i even used all the other products like

proactiv

neutrogena

clean and clear

mary kay

and even avon products

but one day i found a st.ives face wash and since that day it disappeared my acne, the excess oil was gone, and it just left it soft and clear... i luv it!!!
Reply:you need to go get a facial.

If you go to a beauty school they usually charge around $15-30 and they do it for about an hour.
Reply:St. Ives Apricot Scrub
Reply:u need to go see a skin doctor, she/he will tell u exactly what to do coz it might be a hermon problem since u gave birth recently
Reply:oily skin is gods gift if u are maintaining it properly.

u have to drink as much water as u can so that ur excess oils gets out in the form of sweat.

dont never ever spend money on cosmotics they will not help u that much if they do also it is temporary .they will have side effect belive me.

use herbal products and home made thing to removes excess oil.

use diff types of fruit face packs thrice in week which suits u better and use it continuosly.

drink as much water as u can.

u can use scrub to remove blackheads and try paste of soji and curd apply it ur face rub gentle where u have blackheads it really work.
Reply:I have super super oily skin- I have to wash my face about 2 times a day in order to keep it under control... so trust me, I know what you are going through.

I use the tea tree oil products at the body shop- the stuff lasts a long time, and also prevents zits/blackheads. They have it in a scrub, toner (although I know you said toner doesn't work, just gotta mention it! ;) ), stick, conseallor (sp?), blot papers... it's a good line! Plus no animal testing and all that great stuff.

It's worth the investment. I only use the scrub and the "spot stick" for when I get zits. It's all you really need! The conseallor is good for when you are going out and want to cover up blackheads/zits... you cover it and you treat it at the same time!

Hope this helps!
Reply:You shouldn't be using an exfoliator that often. You are just asking your skin to produce more oil that way! Use a skin bar for sensitive skin and blot your face with oil-reducing sheets (clean and clear and nuetrogena have them at your local drugstore).

I recommend Breezy Beach Wear's All-natural Oatmeal Sugar Cookie bath bar. It is made with natural oatmeal, vanilla extract, raw sugar and olive oil. It is perfect for the face as it doesn't irritate and is perfect for sensitive skin.

Reply:stop using soap! soap is drying your skin out too much, so your skin compensates by producing more oil. do not scrub your face too much too... the extra blood circulation is not doing any good to your face. if you must scrub everyday, do it lightly.

a sure work is roaccutane. it works by regulating your oil glands, and improves acne and other skin conditions. however, if you're planning to get pregnant again, or breastfeeding, roaccutane is not recommended. roac is only available by prescription

Skin darkening?

hey , ever since i was about 10 , 11 i noticed the skin around my neck started to darken and now my neck skin tone and everywhere else e.g face , hands is very different i use johnsons baby cream everynight and that lightens the skins up abit , but i was hoping if there is a natural remedie or cream that may clear this unsolving problem quickly , i also have sensitive skin

thanks

Skin darkening?
Skin tone varies, i suggest you continue as you are now, dont try lightening it with chemicals, especially as you have sensitive skin;
Reply:i would reconmend scrubbing your neck a bit more,

sometimes people are a bit shy with cleaning the neck cos its sensitive but you need to give it a good ol scrub love!
Reply:You could try using a daily gentle cleansing scrub or something like aapri facial pads. Exfoliators lift off the dead outer layers of skin which leaves the nice fresh new skin showing - which should be a bit lighter. I like aapri skin products because they never irritate my sensitive skin and don't cost afortune ...

http://www.aapri.co.uk/pages/english/pro...

The skin lightening (bleaching) products basically do what exfoliation does - makes your top layersof skin peel off. But I wouldn't try them on sensitive skin :s

If they are significantly darker patches of skin - perhaps you should see a dermatologist.

Best of luck: :)
Reply:Hyperpigmentation/melasma is quite often caused by hormonal changes and sun exposure. You can try hydroquinone 2% which you can get at most drugstores and pharmacies or 4% which you need a prescription for.

Obagi nu-derm is formulated to treat just these types of problems. Check out www.obagi.com and talk to your dermatologist about it.

Facial moisturizer, sunscreen and makeup for acne prone mature skin, any suggestion?

I am 30 year old with medium color sensitive/acne prone skin. Couldn't use sunscreen or moisturizer or any makeup on face till now, always gets pimple with them. But now i see signs of aging like enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, few bleakheads, clogged pores, oily T-zone but dry elsewhere, under eye circle etc. Want to use some products those can help with mature skin issues without giving me pimples. I read as many reviews as i can for Bliss, Serious Skin care, Continuously Clear, Clinique, Wei East, Italian Bath %26amp; Body Skin Care (hsn) ....but can't decide. Also need help in choosing makeup (may be mineral but which one?). I would prefer less products as i have sensitive skin that can easily break out.

Is there anyone who has same skin like me and can suggest some good products? or anyone who has knowledge plz help.

thanks

Facial moisturizer, sunscreen and makeup for acne prone mature skin, any suggestion?
I think that you should exfoliate your skin. Exfoliators are grainy and sandy, but they're hard to find in the store but you could easily find them on the internet. You just rub the solution on your face in a gentle, circular motion. This helps to clear your skin, taking bad stuff out and unclogging pores. It also helps to soften skin and make it glow. I think you should try it for your acne.

For the sunscreen and moisturizer, try the Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer. It's a good moisturizer and sunscreen in one and it evens the skin. All natural, too. (don't wear foundation and/or cover-up when you don't have to)

I'm not exactly sure about what you should use for your acne, but for makeup, keep it simple with neutral colours, light eye shadow and some mascara, eyeliner maybe. Look for products in the store that are natural and not animal tested. :)

Hope I helped somehow!
Reply:neutrogena moisturizer spf 15 or for sensitive skin. your skin will look greasy for the first couple days, but your skin will get used to it and not produce as much oil. but from then on you will have to use moisturizer.
Reply:For mineral makeup I like Everyday Minerals. It's only online though.

I started Retin A Micro around my 30th birthday and it's helped a lot with blackheads and the general tone and smoothness of my skin. Yes, you have to see your PCP or a derm for the rx but it works so much better than the OTC stuff I tried using all through my 20s that to me, it's worth it to have something that actually helps. For a skin cleanser I use Cetaphil. Nice and simple.

Skin Help!???!?!?!?!!??!!?

I'm 14, and I noticed like a week ago, that on my right cheek, there has been like this small blotchy red mark, and I also noticed it is has a rough feeling to it. My skin has also been dry lately too. I take good care to my skin, by cleansing, moisturizing etc. and I have no other problems with my skin, except now my one cheek looks blotchy, so I have been tempted to wearing foundation to cover it up (which I normally don't)

Do you think I have Sensitive Skin or something??

:]

Skin Help!???!?!?!?!!??!!?
I don't think that it is eczema because you only get it were your skin folds (like in side of elbows). It is normal to get dry skin during winter like other people have said. Since it is red there then I am guessing that you are allergic to something. Did something come in contact with your face like new clothes or jewelry? My advice is to moisturize often and don't over cleanse. Also you might have sensitized skin instead of sensitive skin. Sensitized skin is caused by environmental factors and stress. If your skin doesn't improve then buy a calming moisturizer with feverfew or oats in it.
Reply:I would suggest going to a dermatologist. It might be dry and sensitive just because of the cold weather, or it could be a skin condition like eczema. There's no way of really knowing unless a dermatologist takes a look at it.
Reply:um that happend to me alot and it usually goes away in about an half an hour

if it doesnt try cover up

and if its still there on the second day i would go to the doctor

but no worries you should be fine

♥hope this hellped☻
Reply:I don't have sensitive skin but you could have excema dont no though it might just be dry skin alot of people get it in the winter moisturize that spot 2 times a day. Search excema on google maybe and see if it sounds like you have it or look at pictures of it and see if it looks like what u have.

Skin discoloration....?
You can cover it up with make up. A really good cover up make up is Derma Blend. It is a special type of make up that is designed to cover up scars, red spots, blemishes, skin discolorations, pigmentation problems and even tattoos. My friend used it at her wedding to cover up a tattoo on her back and it really worked with no streaking. It even lasted through the dancing and after party. You can purchase this product in major department stores, like Macy's or you can order it online. They will even give you a crash course on how to use it.
Reply:I would recommend consulting another dermatologist about this to see if they can try to help you figure out what could be going on.

Sometimes skin discoloration can also be a sign of other medical problems so I would recommend talking to your primary care physician about this. If your insurance is the type that requires that you see a primary care physician I would start there this time around to see if they can be of some help.

As for the make-up try finding a shade of facial base that closely resembles your natural skin color if you haven't already to see how that works.

Skin help!?

i have really fair sensitive skin, so a lot of the times my pores can look big, so has anyone with fair or sensitive skin ever had a good experience with a shrinking pore cream, or face wash? If so, what did you use to make your pores appear smaller, if you know, what was the price, and how to you apply it? thank you so much

no spam, you will definately be reported... =]

Skin help!?
Nothing can shrink large pores but here is what you can do to tighten them:

Wash your face with cold water. Warm water opens the pores and cold water is like an astringent, it shocks the pores shut.

Use an astringent-it tightens the skin. Once a week, beat up the white of an egg, spread it thinly over your face. let it dry and rinse off with ice cold water.

Your face will glow and skin will look tighter.
Reply:Uhm...

i've been reading online and my doctor recommended Dove soap.

but i used this soap from Mexico called "Zote"

and it does close pores.

you can get the soap at Wal-Mart.

cant remember the price.

Zote is a soap used for clothes. Invented in Mexico.
Reply:Try using Bare Escentuals "Tinted Mineral Veil". It comes in different shades, goes on with a brush, and looks very natural.

I find that it helps hide the large pores. You don't have to use a lot. You can order it from "QVC.com". They do have a shade for fair skin. Hope this helps you!
Reply:just use a cleaning milk, then an oil and alcohol free tonic, and then a light hydratation cream
